The RW website has been updated. Almost all pages, except the main blog page, have a new layout. I’ll be working on updating that for the rest of this week. However, the big news is the new content. You’ll find on the sidebar a link to a map of China. The map is current for up to the end of volume seven. We’ll release a new updated map with each new volume. There is also a small glossary online.

On the release page you’ll see the release dates for the next chapters. So now you don’t have to wonder when the next release will be. Keep in mind the dates are subject to change. If an editor were to fall ill or for whatever reason be unable to complete their chapter on time, we’ll have to move the date back.

And lastly, have brought the translation text back online. Currently we have up the translations from chapter 51 to 76. One of the reasons were doing this is to give our readers a chance to proofread the chapters to weed out any mistakes we may have missed. Another reason is so that readers fluent in Chinese can help our translators get the translations as coherent and close to the original as possible. If you wish to make a comment about the translations, please either post it in reply to this entry or else to the entry on the LiveJournal community.

In Ravages news, volume three has been released in Japan. Diao Chan is on the cover. In China, volume twenty-two has been released. Zhou Yu is on the cover and, I kid you not, he is surrounded by shoujo sparkles. But, the sparkles can’t really be seen in the YesAsia image since they are made out of some sort of gold material. And finally, a few weeks ago two chapters of a Ravages “sidestory” came out in a Taiwanese newspaper, Apple Daily. The story focuses mainly on Lao Da, a character who has yet to appear in our scanlations and the second chapter shows the first meeting of Lao Da and a very young — but still scary — Liaoyuan Huo.
